Odin
Odin is the God of war and the dead, and resides over Valhalla. Odin is the adopting father figure of Loki, and is often seen taking care of him. Odin is who other Gods look to for direction, and is considered to be the god of gods in Norse Mythology, or Norse Paganism. Pictured right is a rendering of Odin.
Thor
Thor is the god of thunder, lightning, sky, agriculture, and fertility. He is the son of Odin, and is heir to the throne. He wields the hammer, Mjölnir, which is used as a weapon, and as a symbol of divine proportion. Pictured left is a rendering of Thor and his hammer.
Hollywood
Hollywood has used the figures of Loki, Thor, and Odin in many movies, many being part of the marvel franchise. However, they tend to make mistakes, as they once said that Loki is Odin's son, when he is merely an adopted, but kidnapped son of Odin's. They also do not dive into tradition, and focus on Thor and how he is able to achieve what he is able to do, such as flight, and harnessing lightning.
